Waverly Valley Plaid & Nantucket Basket

Today's tablescape was inspired by the sunny plaid that is used in my son's bedroom. I began with extra valances of Waverly's Valley Plaid used as table runners. The blue and yellow is so cheery!
I then built a centerpiece using a salad plate, tea cup placed upside down, a bread plate and a creamer in my everyday pattern, Wedgwood's Nantucket Basket. I hope I didn't give my son any ideas about using my china to build towers!
Into the creamer I placed some grocery store flowers of yellow daisies and lime green mums, along with a yellow zinnia or two from the containers on the patio.

A salad plate is arranged on top of a dinner plate, along with a bread plate for the place setting.

The flatware is my everyday stainless, Oneida Easton. The iced tea stems are just simple, clear glasses I picked up from Wal-Mart. The linen napkins, wedding presents, are bordered with a pretty swiss dot pattern.

All in all, a summery tablescape for these very hot days! How does Imperial Chicken, alongside salad with tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden, and garlic cheese biscuits sound?

You are extremely clever. I love the valance runners and the 'ivory' tower in the center. It's quite beautiful.

You can never go wrong with Wedgwood, and I've made a tablecloth using the exact same Waverly fabric. Blue/yellow/white is my favorite color combination. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
